Lambeth Voluntary Action Council (LVAC)
LVAC is an independent voluntary organisation which:
- Represents, supports and develops the London borough of Lambeth's voluntary and community sector.
- Develops new initiatives to meet community needs.
- Promotes cooperation between the voluntary and statutory sectors within Lambeth.
LVAC offers free advice and consultancy on issues such as:
- Charitable and company status
- Management and staffing
- Finance and fundraising, including access to our Funder Finder database
- Assistance in developing new projects
- Support for existing groups with management and other matters
- Special support for small groups (2 paid workers or less)
- Accountancy advice and training Information
It also provides subsidised training on key management issues and assists groups in finding suitable trainers and courses.
LVAC has a comprehensive database of voluntary and community groups in Lambeth and a library of useful publications and videos. It also produces the quarterly newsletter, Lambeth Link, which is circulated free to LVAC members.
