Kensington and Chelsea Social Council (KCSC)
Kensington and Chelsea Social Council (KCSC) works to empower and support voluntary and community groups to improve the quality of life in Kensington & Chelsea - so that all citizens from the Borough's vibrant and diverse communities can access services, influence decision-making and feel that they belong to an inclusive society.
KCSC is a Council for Voluntary Service (CVS). It is affiliated to a network of CVS organisations throughout the UK that act as umbrella bodies for voluntary organisations.
KCSC provides support services to voluntary organisations in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The main services are information, development, training, and co-ordination & representation.
KCSC was formed in April 2002 following the merger of Chelsea and Notting Hill Social Councils. Notting Hill Social Council was originally formed in the late 1950s in the aftermath of the social disturbances in the area and Chelsea Social Council was established in 1968 to meet local needs.
