Central London CVS Network
The Central London CVS Network is a voluntary partnership whose members are the Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS) in seven central London boroughs; Camden, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea, Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth and Westminster. It was set up in 2001.
The network's role is primarily to
- Identify opportunities to maximise resources for the sector through partnership working
- Promote and raise awareness of the value, profile and contribution the voluntary sector makes
- Share good practice, skills and experience
- Ensure the sector has effective representation on any planning groups operating across the sub-region and region
- Enable the involvement of the voluntary and community sector in any sub-regional work.
Key areas of work
The CLCVS Network recently identified the following areas of work as priorities for sub-regional work:
- Training and development for staff and volunteers
- Commissioning and procurement
- Measuring impact
- Transforming social care
The Network is hosted by Voluntary Action Islington.
