Central London CVS Network

The Central London CVS Network exists to promote and raise awareness of the value, profile and contribution made by the voluntary sector.

In operation since 2001, the Central London CVS Network is a voluntary partnership whose members are the Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS) in seven central London boroughs; Camden, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea, Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth and Westminster.

The network's role is primarily to...

  • Share good practice, skills and experience
  • Enable the involvement of the voluntary and community sector in sub-regional work
  • Identify opportunities to maximise resources for the sector
  • Promote and raise awareness of the value, profile and contribution the voluntary sector makes
  • Ensure the sector has effective representation on any planning groups operating across the sub-region

Key areas of work

The CLCVS Network recently identified the following areas of work as priorities for sub-regional work:

  • Learning and skills
  • Workforce development
  • ChangeUp
  • Social enterprise
  • ICT
  • Neighbourhood renewal.

The Network is hosted by IVAC.
